Still with you by Jungkook- Army talks about it.

BTS 2020 Festa

        Just when I thought Euphoria and My time was everything I wanted. Boom, no! Still with you hits you out of nowhere. I am not complaining though. On the 5^th day of Festa, Jungkook uploaded “Still with you” in soundcloud.

        If you don’t know what festa is then I’ll tell you. It’s an annual celebration of BTS debut day. They debuted on June 13, 2013. So, it’s a festival that army and BTS celebrate for two weeks starting from June 1 to June 13. We get their photos, new songs, choreography videos each day. That’s what Festa is all about. It’s the celebration.

 

        Moving on with the song, it’s a very very beautiful song. To be honest each line hits hard knowing that it was for us, for Army.

I am going to talk about intros, verses and chorus separately.

[Intro]

That faint voice of yours that grazed me

I’m standing still under the frozen light, but

I will walk towards you, step by step

Still with you

 The sound of pouring rain and the soothing voice makes me want to dance in the rain or sleep on the couch with love of my life. 'Em feels I get from the intro.

So, "I'm standing still under the frozen light, but I will walk towards you, step by step." The only thing I can imagine is, him in a room and him thinking of the days how he used to perform on the stage and counting for the days when he will be on the stage again.

 

[Verse 1]

A pitch dark room

I shouldn’t get used to it

But I’m used to it again

The low-pitched sound of the air conditioner

If I don’t have this, I might just fall apart

 A pitch dark room, in this context can refer to no crowds or no more purple oceans. What I am trying to say is, as an idol, the day will come when he'll have to say goodbye to the band and the fandom, every idol and fandom knows that. 

 "I shouldn’t get used to it. But I’m used to it again". says Jk, meaning that due to this pandemic he couldn't perform or interact with fans. He had to experience the horror of a pitch dark room. However, "the sound of the air conditioner" ,is white noise i.e. cheering and support from Army has kept him going."If I don’t have this, I might just fall apart"

These simple feelings were everything I had

 This made me, personally feel some kind of way. Jungkook, in fact, talks to us like we are all he loves and admires.

 In his ecstasy, in his euphoric memory, he dances. The pouring of rain may be considered as all the practice he did, happy and sad moments, his thoughts he had during this gap. And when all of this is over, he wants us to be there for him. "I'll run with my wet feet", he will have his thoughts with him, his hard work, he'll have something new to say than before and wants us to welcome him with our open arms.

The moon looks lonely

Like it's crying in the bright night sky

Even though I always know the morning will come

I want to stay in your sky like a star

 "The moon looks lonely", Armys miss him, they look lonely without him.

"I want to stay in your sky like a star", he wants be there with them. Even though he knows, once morning will come , he won't be seen but during night sky, he wants to be a star shining with his moon.

The day, that moment

If I knew this was gonna happen

I would have remembered more of them

And say, "I missed you"

He wants to make many memories with his fans. If only he knew this pandemic would have happened and he wouldn’t get the chance to perform his new album, he would have tried to make as many memories as possible on those days when he could.

I can also see this as future Jungkook asking his present self to make many beautiful memories cause he knows once the morning comes, a star no longer shines. But, he wants us to remember that the star will always be there for the moon. Hence, comes the whole song “Still with you” for his moon, by the star. For his fans, by Jungkook.
